We've left Velikye Luki and are on the road to Moscow (if you can actually call it a road...I'll never complain about the freeways in California again!). This was pretty much just an overnight stop on the way to Moscow. Velikye Luki is an important World War II battlesight where the Germans attempted to take over Russia. The entire city was obliterated, but has since been rebuilt.
